Converged Subscriber Platform
The Converged Subscriber Platform 3000™ is the integrated platform for multi-profile subscriber management in mobile, VoIP, Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC), and Machine-to-machine (M2M) networks. Combining a HLR/AuC, HSS, SIP Registrar, and SIP Redirect Server, the CSP 3000™ delivers the convergence of subscriber profiles across 2G (GSM, GPRS, EDGE), 3G (UMTS, HSPA, IMS), and VoIP (Wireline, WiFi, WiMAX) domains.
Next Generation Home Location Register (ngHLR)
The ngHLR 3000™ serves as the mission-critical function for subscriber profile management in GSM/GPRS and UMTS networks. Offering the functionality, telecom-grade performance, and scalability exceeding current market offerings, and with an open, non-proprietary platform, the ngHLR 3000™ is changing the HLR paradigm for mobile service providers.
Home Subscriber Server
Serving as the Home Subscriber Server (HSS) function in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), the HSS 3000™ is the central subscriber database for next generation IP networks. HLR/AuC functions are integrated with a next generation HSS into a multi-profile, converged database for GSM/GPRS and 3G, as well as for any network providing access to IMS services, such as WiMAX and cable/DSL. The HSS 3000™ provides control and intelligence within mobile and fixed networks, the creation and management of multiple profiles per subscription, and facilitates a controlled migration to SIP-centric IMS networks.
Fixed Mobile Convergence
HLR/HSS-based Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solutions allow subscribers to roam between mobile GSM/UMTS and IP networks, accessing the benefits of both networks. This solution enables seamless inter-working between both networks by integrating an Authentication Center, AAA Server, SIP Registrar, and SIP Redirect Server into the core HLR functionality, authenticating subscribers and performing call mediation between SS7 and SIP networks, thereby enabling convergence at the subscriber level.
AAA Server
The AAA 3000™ is a RADIUS server integrated with the Converged Subscriber Platform 3000™ ngHLR and HSS applications. It provides Authentication and Authorization services to RADIUS-enabled network access servers (NAS), such as GGSNs, dial-up servers, BRAS, etc. It is a critical component of WiFi and DSL authentication, either via username/password or SIM credentials, which are obtained from the HLR subscriber profile. Serving as an Authentication Authorization Accounting Server, the AAA 3000™ simplifies the network topology by providing the relevant AAA functions to 3GPP and non-3GPP networks.
Multi-profile Subscriber Convergence
A multi-profile subscriber management solution is a compelling alternative to enhance legacy mobile core networks. As evolving networks and multiple devices, global identities, and access technologies create disparate subscriber silos for mobile operators and scatter subscriber information around the network, this solution addresses these challenges by putting subscribers at the center of their network. The consolidation of subscriber profiles is essential as the first step to IMS migration and removes the barriers for the introduction of innovative new services.
Low-cost Roaming
Roaming solutions enable mobile service providers to offer new roaming features to their subscribers and significantly reduce, even eliminate, roaming charges. These features are integrated into the HLR application and are therefore completely transparent to the other network elements and to the end-user.
IMS HSS Evolution
Mobile operators are now facing the issue of how to evolve to IMS and migrate subscriber information from the legacy HLR to the HSS environments. By integrating the HLR and HSS and by activating each component with a simple software license, the evolution to IMS is simplified.
Platform for MVNO/MVNE Differentiation
To ensure long term business success, it is essential for an MVNO, wholesale operator, or Quad-Play to differentiate on service offering and to have the control over their mobile subscriber base in order to do so. The long term viability of the MVNO business model is dependent on these two factors. With a subscriber management platform, these operators can offer their own advanced and differentiated services, to distinguish from other MVNOs and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs). It also allows for a more efficient management of the MVNO subscriber base for provisioning, time to market, and service delivery.
Scalable M2M Deployments
With the highest subscriber density in the market and increased flexibility and customization, the ngHLR 3000™ solves these challenges for M2M operators. The ngHLR 3000™ is a cost-effective and scalable HLR/AuC/HSS, with customizable M2M specific profiles, IP/XML-based data access for M2M servers, location update tracking, and integrated advanced low cost roaming solutions for global coverage.
